Die PAEK Materialien kommen vor allem in der Lebensmittel-, Öl und Gas, Medizintechnik und Luftfahrt-Industrie zum Einsatz mit der Herstellung von Ventilsitzen, Einsatzringe, Gleitbuchsen, Stützringe, Dichtungen, Chevron Packungen, Abstandshalter, Implantate und Produkte, die mit Lebensmitteln in Berührung kommen.

Das PAEK (und insbesondere PEEK) sind spezielle Materialien mit außergewöhnlichen Eigenschaften von Steifigkeit, Festigkeit, Verschleiß und chemische Beständigkeit und Dimensionsstabilität über einen sehr weiten Temperaturbereich. Sie können mit Glasfasern, Kohlenstoff und PTFE gefüllt werden.

INTRODUCING PAEK

The polyaryletherketones (PAEK) are polymers in which chain are present, ether groups (oxygen bridges) and ketone groups (C = O); the PAEK are partially crystalline polymers, whose melting temperature depends on the percentage of ketone groups. The definition of the various types of PAEK is made according to the quantity and arrangement of the various groups: in addition to PEEK (polyetheretherketone), of the PAEK family includes among others the Polyetheretherketone (PEK), the polieterchetonechetone (PEKK) and the polieterchetoneeterchetonechetone (PEKEKK).

The PAEK can be machined with conventional methods of molding and extrusion, in addition to being mechanically worked by chip removal.

The PAEK have excellent stiffness and strength in a very wide temperature range (continued operation temperatures are around 250 ° C). They have high fatigue resistance and a good resilience. They also have good sliding properties, high thermal stability and good dimensional stability. The PAEK are resistant to non-oxidizing acids, alkaline solutions, oils, greases and brake fluids as regards the sector of the vehicles. The only known solvent at room temperature is sulfuric acid. Have poor UV resistance and, compared to other thermoplastic materials, they have a reduced smoke seal capacity. To increase stiffness and strength may be added to glass and carbon fibers.

Thanks to its excellent fire and its thermal and chemical resistance PEEK is increasingly required to ensure optimum performance in areas such as automotive, aerospace, electronics, food, nuclear, medicine and pharmaceutics . PEEK are manufactured bearings, seals, gaskets, bushings, valve seats, seats, rotors, implants, endoscopes, parts in contact with food and water, semiconductor, mounted in particular pipelines and oil platforms, guides, coatings of tanks, parts of packaging systems, gears and slide components. The PEKEKK is recommended for the realization of parts subject to high loads to very high temperatures.
